At the tender age of fifteen, Amy took her first step into the exciting world of floristry, as a Saturday girl at her local Florist. Her passion for flowers was born, and despite moving to Liverpool to study BSc Psychology and Human Biology, Amy’s heart remained in floristry. Four years after completing her degree and returning home to Gloucestershire, Amy launched her own business; Lavender’s Blue Floristry.
Following huge success in it’s first year of trading, Lavender’s Blue branched out in 2010, settling in a beautiful little shop in Mitcheldean, with a small and dedicated team.
Fast forward ten years; 2020 has seen further development of Lavender’s Blue, and Amy’s journey as a florist. With such a high volume of wedding and funeral work, the shop was bulging at the seams! In January 2020 Amy took the decision to pursue event work with more vigour, and to set up a much needed flower school in the Forest of Dean. Watch this space for a series of courses to be announced throughout 2020.
